When do you deliver?

Ibbotson’s home delivery operates 6 days a week Monday – Saturday.  Orders placed before 6pm will be delivered the following working day.  If you would prefer a different day then please detail this in the comments field in the checkout screen.

What if I am not home to receive my delivery?

If you are not home the driver will leave your order in a safe place which you can specify, such as in a porch or garage or with a neighbour. If you have not give us instructions the driver will leave it in the most sensible place he can find and put a note through your door as to its whereabouts.

Can I find out what I’ll be getting in my box before it arrives?

If you have ordered one of the set boxes the produce list on the website is an example of what is typically contained in the box. Unfortunately we can’t predict exactly what will be included as it depends on the season and the quality of the products.

What if there are certain fruit and vegetables that I don’t want?

Just let us know what you don’t like and we will try to replace it with a different variety.

Are your fruit and vegetables organic?

Not generally, we get some organic products but we do not differentiate them. We prefer to leave pure organics to the experts.

Where does the produce come from?

All our produce is, wherever possible, locally sourced from local farmers, wholesale markets and distributors. UK produce is always given priority.

Is there a minimum order?

Yes there is a minimum order of £8.50 for a box order and to qualify for free delivery for an order made from the ‘Choose your own’ and ‘Extras’ the order must be over £10.00.  Orders placed under £10.00 will have a delivery charge of £3.00.

Where do you deliver to?

We deliver to all of Chesterfield and the surrounding areas including Ashgate, Barlow, Bolsover, Brimington, Clay Cross, Cutthorpe, Darley Dale, Dronfield, Hasland, Holmesfield, Newbold, Matlock, Staveley, Tupton and Wingerworth.  If your area is not listed then please contact us and we will try to accommodate your needs.

How do I store my produce?

Vegetable and salad items should be stored in a cool dry place. To preserve them for longer they can be placed in the fridge.  Soft fruits such as strawberries and blueberries should be placed in the fridge and other fruits stored at room temperature.  Wash items just before eating to keep them fresher for longer.

What do I do if I’m not happy with my box and wish to return it?

We really hope that you are pleased with the items in your box.  There should be no reason for you to be unhappy as every box is checked to make sure it reaches our high quality standards.  If you are not happy then please contact us and we will resolve the problem.

If you wish to cancel your order for any reason please give us 48 hours notice and a full refund will be made.

Can and how do I use my Healthy Start vouchers?

We do accept the Healthy Start vouchers and they can be used as payment for products purchased on our website. Add the items to your cart you would like to order then when you are in the check out screen you can input ‘healthystart1’ into the coupon code box and click on ‘Apply coupon’. The £3.10 will be deducted from the total. If you have two vouchers enter ‘healthystart2’ and £6.20 will be deducted and for three vouchers enter ‘healthystart3’ and £9.30 will be deducted. THESE VOUCHERS MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR OUR DRIVER TO COLLECT WHEN DELIVERY IS MADE.
